Metastatic Breast Cancer Event

The story of one woman's courageous battle.

Rosalinda Giles, a wife and mother of two young kids, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2018 at just 36 years old.

After 16 weeks of chemo, several surgeries, including a double mastectomy, and 28 sessions of radiation she was finally done with all her treatments. In order to prevent a recurrence, she was put on a hormone blocker. A regimen she would continue for the next ten years.

Just a few weeks shy of hitting the three year mark of her original diagnosis, she was told that her cancer had returned and unfortunately spread. In May of 2021, Rosalinda was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. The cancer had attached to multiple bones in her body and was in the lining of her lung. After two hospitalizations in just the first few weeks, she is back on an aggressive chemo and is currently going through treatment.

Unlike early breast cancer, Metastatic Breast Cancer cannot be cured. The hope is that the chemo stops the spread and, with the help of other treatments, it can be kept from progressing any further.

Rosalinda is hands down, one of the strongest, most resilient women you will ever meet. She is fighting for her life... not just for herself, but for her family too.
